Project Overview

Heads to Tails is a conceptual veterinary clinic that allows for mobile scheduling for checkups, surgeries, and other appointments for users pets. The goal of Heads to Tails was to make veterinary visits less stressful for a user and allow users to schedule appointments, training, etc. directly through an app. While many veterinary clinics have websites and/or forms to help a user book an appointment, it is essentially unheard of for one to have an entire mobile application. Heads to Tails is unique in this way.

Design Process

With only a six week timeframe to build this prototype, the project team needed to be active and alert. As the role of project manager, it was important to break up work throughout the team and to create smaller teams that would work on different components. So, it was decided that one team would work on the design aspects, while another would work on the flow and content. Parker and myself took on the flow and content, consisting of key low-fi screens, registering and signing-up, and the schedule/calendar.

We began with designing a low fidelity prototype that would essentially be the structure for our future high fidelity prototype. Designing in lo-fi was critical as we were able to establish which ideas and design choices we liked. The low fidelity prototype can be accessed through this link to the Figma site.

FEATURES

A wide variety of services are provided to the user throughout the application, such as training, vaccination, and even a shop. These are all services that typically require a user to call or go in-person to a veterinary clinic, this application would help ease the complication of many veterinary services.
